No-exam life insurance
Which applicants qualify for accelerated underwriting, how the process works, and your options if you don't qualify.
Many carriers offer accelerated underwriting for applicants in certain age and coverage ranges: they make decisions using your application, pharmacy records, driving history, and other data without requiring a physical exam. Decisions can return within hours. Each quote here tells you whether the specific product requires an exam, might ask for one, or needs no exam.
What it changes
Fast-track underwriting still includes thorough review. Your responses will be confirmed through data verification, and inaccurate information provided in the application can be challenged for two years after the policy is issued. If the carrier discovers inconsistencies, an exam or additional testing may still be required; you can decide then whether to proceed.
Who tends to qualify
Usually applicants below age 60 requesting coverage amounts within the carrier's accelerated underwriting limit, with no significant medical history and no tobacco or nicotine use in the past 12 months or longer. Many carriers will accept recent blood work from your doctor's office as a substitute for an exam.
If an exam is necessary, it typically involves a 20 to 30 minute appointment with a paramedical professional at your home or workplace in the Aliso Viejo area at no charge to you. For people in good health, the results often result in a better rate class, making an exam potentially beneficial.
