Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote form asks for your gender, birth date, health status, tobacco use, desired coverage amount, and preferred term. Those six pieces of information are all we need to return carrier quotes. Your name, address, or detailed health history are only requested if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The displayed prices are what each carrier quotes for the health class you indicated. The final premium is determined by the carrier after underwriting, which may confirm, improve, or adjust the class. These quotes are informational only and not an insurance offer or rate guarantee.

What happens when I click Apply?

Select Apply and you will enter a secure application prefilled with your information. The application runs on the carriers' own secure system. You can save your progress and return later, and you sign everything electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), oversees your application.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on the specific carrier, the coverage amount you requested, and your health answers. Carriers offering immediate decisions can decide on the spot for applicants who qualify. Each quote lists whether an exam is needed, might be needed, or is not required for that particular product.

Is a longer term better?

A term length should match the years your household would struggle financially if your income disappeared: perhaps a mortgage, children still at home, or a business obligation. Longer terms have higher monthly costs but lock in your rate for more years. The quote tool lets you side-by-side compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 year options.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool collects no contact information, we do not buy or sell visitor data, and our analytics do not use cookies. Visit the privacy page to see the complete accounting of what is collected and who has access.
